Return to Oz‍ ‍
Heathen Hill Upstate New York

Just Follow the Yellow Brick Road!

Close enough to reach in an afternoon.

Far enough to feel like another world.

The Heart of Spring. The Way Home.
Somewhere along the way, a storm picked you up and set you down somewhere unfamiliar. You've been walking the road ever since, doing what's expected, looking for the thing that will finally make you feel clear, open-hearted, and brave.

What if you already have it?

Return to Oz is three days of yoga, meditation, breathwork, ritual, and one full day of guided silence in the Catskill Mountains. Guided by the three landmarks of Dorothy's journey (Mind, Heart, and Courage), we'll walk the Yellow Brick Road together and discover what she learned: the ruby slippers were on your feet the whole time.

This isn't about becoming someone new. It's about coming home to who you already are.

Heathen Hill
The Emerald City!

Picture the last mile: a shady dirt road, taken slowly, with deer, wild turkeys and maybe a peahen watching you pass. At the top of the hill are two old houses, big gardens and a lot of quiet.

For one long weekend, Heathen Hill is ours. We’ll practice yoga, meditate, and breathe together, with plenty of open time in between. Swim, sit in the hot tub, take a hike, nap in the shade or throw a few horseshoes. Nobody’s keeping score.

Package Includes:

Three Days on the Yellow Brick Road
Each day follows Dorothy's path, from the storm that sweeps her away to the moment she clicks her heels.

Thursday: The Cyclone
Arrive, settle into your room, and set down whatever "Kansas" you're traveling from. We gather for a welcome circle, ease out of travel mode with gentle yoga, share dinner, and close the evening with yoga nidra and a fire pit ritual naming what we're carrying into the weekend.

Friday: The Yellow Brick Road
A full day on the road, guided by all three landmarks.
Mind (Scarecrow): morning yoga, a dharma talk on the busy, doubting mind, mindfulness meditation, and walking meditation.
Heart (Tin Man): lovingkindness meditation and the discovery that warmth doesn't need to be manufactured, only uncovered.
Courage (Lion): yoga for confidence and Windhorse meditation.
We end around the fire, maybe with a little dance party, before the silence begins.

Saturday: The Emerald City — A Day of Silence
The curtain pulls back. In fully guided silence, we practice yoga and meditation, share mindful meals, and thread our own malas in a mala making workshop. Evening breathwork carries us to dinner, where we gently and ceremonially return to speech, followed by a sound bath.

Sunday: There's No Place Like Home
Breakfast together, closing practice, and a ruby slippers ritual to recognize the quality you arrived believing you lacked as already yours. We say goodbye as companions and carry the road home.

Flexible — Free Time, Exploration & Rest Slip into the hot tub. Wander through the labyrinth. Hike. Read by the fire. Dip into the pond. Sit under the clear spring sky & journal.
